Angel Marquez

Angel Marquez was born in San Diego and spent most of his childhood in Tijuana, where he grew up surrounded by drugs, gangs, and violence. Despite the challenges around him, he found inspiration in the cartoons he watched on TV, which sparked his creativity and planted the seed for a future in art.

Determined to rise above his environment, Angel focused on education and self-growth. He earned an Associate Degree in Studio Arts from Southwestern College and transferred to San Diego State University, where he is now pursuing a double major in Graphic Design and Business.

Angel’s dream is to open his own graphic design company and a boxing gym—two spaces where he can bring people together, promote creativity and discipline, and give back to the community that shaped him. His journey is a reflection of resilience, vision, and the power of art to create change.
